Spanish courses at the Language Centre of the University of Almeria.

The University of Almeria Language Centre welcomes foreign students who wish to learn Spanish with individual attention progress checks. In our small groups, both in face-to-face and videoconference classes, the teacher is present with the group for the entire course and focuses on the training of each student, guiding them at all times.

We offer ELE courses at levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1, with a duration of 90 hours (mornings) or 60 hours (afternoons), starting in September for the first semester and in February for the second semester. We also offer annual of Spanish language and Culture courses with a duration of 600 hours in the morning.

We also organise tailor-made courses. If you are a group of 6 or more people we can adapt the class to your needs in terms of level, timetable, online/face-to-face and duration. You can write to clenguas@fundacionual.es for more information.

We do not have any entry requirements, the teacher will do a level test on the first day of the course to ensure that you are enrolled in the right level and if not, they will advise you on how to change groups and levels.

The courses are aimed at increasing and strengthening oral skills so that the student progresses from a methodology that favours productive skills. Therefore, communicative practices are developed in real and authentic communicative situations, a variety of dynamics of interaction are created in the classroom: pair and group work, dynamic classroom set-ups, peer learning, practice and integration of language skills. Of course, there is a focus on all linguistic skills such as; listening comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension and written expression, always taking into account the cultural component, which will be present in all sessions, using games, dramatizations, simulations and films.

Both face-to-face and videoconference courses are supported by the Virtual Classroom of the University of Almeria. On this platform, the teacher and the students can maintain communication, provide study materials and carry out evaluations.

At the end of your course, you can obtain a certificate and, if you have attended 80% of the hours and pass an end of course test, ETCS credits.

We are the only official examination centre of the Instituto Cervantes in the province of Almeria, so we offer the official DELE and SIELE exams. We also organise courses aimed at preparing for these Spanish accreditation exams.

The cost of our courses is 2400€ for the annual courses of 600 hours -20 hours per week, 450€ for the four-monthly courses of 90 hours, 300€ for the four-monthly courses of 60 hours and 200€ for the courses of 40 hours.
